Aging is a Radford Network feature that allows you to age your market data forward to take into consideration movements in the market now, or in anticipation of your upcoming merit cycle.
You can choose the number of months you wish to age the data forwards, and you can add per-year aging rates by Country/Region. You can add separate rates for Cash and Equity elements. This should allow you to age your data in the most relevant way for your business needs.
We have implemented Aging as a set of Settings. This means you can save your per-year aging rates by Country/Region to use across future sessions. You can also save the number of months you wish to age the data forwards.
To get started, click on the settings icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the Radford Network®.
From here you can select to age data between 1-18 months. The time will be applied to all countries you select and across all of the data generator tools.
Next, you will select the country/region and percent to age the cash or cash and equity. Please note you cannot age equity independently.
Click on the +Add button to save your selection.
As you add countries, they will appear under your "Saved Aging Settings" list. The bell icon will indicate that you have successfully added a country.
Use the pencil icon to modify a setting and the delete icon
to remove a setting.
After setting, Aging can be switched on and off from our settings icon and will persist throughout your session across all the data generator tools: Quick Benchmarks, Market Queries, and Country Totals. Aging will not be applied until you toggle on the "Off/On" button in one of two ways-from within the settings menu:
Turn on aging from the "Saved Aging Settings"
Or by clicking on the settings icon from anywhere in the Network:
Once set to "On", all data across all dashboards and data exports will then be aged by your saved settings for the set time period and rates .
Here is an example of what you will see when aging is applied to Quick Benchmarks. Note the blue indicator in the right hand corner above the filters:
When looking at the grid view, the aging indicator will show below each data element:
For Market Queries, when setting up or viewing your breakouts, you will see if an aging factor is being applied by country:
When a report is downloaded, it will indicate if aging has been applied on the "Query Summary" tab along with a summary by country of what settings have been selected.
