The Workforce Metrics tool is available on the Insights tab of the Enhanced Radford Network ®. Clients who submit full-census can access the tool as part of their subscription. You can review full-census submission requirements here.
Total Spend is calculated in Workforce Metrics using data from clients that have submitted full census. The element is a custom Total Direct Compensation calculation based on actuals. This calculation is unique and currently only used in Workforce Metrics.
To access Workforce Metrics from the Enhanced Radford Network click on Insights.
In the classic Radford Network you will find Workforce Metrics on the Analytics tab.
Our Workforce Metrics analytics tool provides insights for clients to use for their workforce planning process. Use the various filters to compare your company to the market by region, category, or function based upon industry and revenue breakouts.
This type of analysis will let you see how you compare in the market to determine if your staffing is meeting the needs of your organization.
For example, if you have a significantly higher number of executives compared to the market you likely have higher compensation costs and may experience slow growth. Conversely, too few leaders may mean decisions are not being made quickly enough which can impede growth, but overall compensation costs may be lower.
The Workforce Analytics tool provides insight into an organization’s position in the market for an organization to evaluate its structure to determine what is optimal.
Recent enhancements to the tool are:
- Increased filter capabilities including the ability to filter by industry, headcount, and revenue
- Data is updated as part of our regular Radford Network Publications
- Charts are included in the download
