The Diversity Representation tool offers insight into the demographic makeup of organizations on the Radford Global Compensation Database (RGCD). This subscription-based module provides a comprehensive overview of an organization's diversity metrics, focusing on gender and ethnicity. By utilizing this data module, companies gain the ability to analyze their diversity representation objectively.
To get started, navigate to the “Insights” dropdown menu and select "Diversity Representation."
Once clicked, “Diversity Representation” will open in a separate window. In that window, enter the User's demographic information of choice under "Location" and “Diversity Group” (see below).
These are key elements that provide insights into the composition of an organization's workforce.
"Location" refers to the geographic distribution of employees within an organization. It allows users to analyze where certain categories of employees are based by country. This information is valuable for understanding ethnicity and gender distribution trends and tailoring diversity and inclusion strategies to specific locations. Please note that “Ethnicity” data is available only if the US is selected as location.
"Diversity Group" categorizes employees based on gender or ethnicity (US only). This categorization allows organizations to track the representation of different diversity groups within their workforce. It helps in assessing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by providing a breakdown of employees by the demographics. Organizations may use this data to identify underrepresented groups and develop strategies to promote diversity and inclusion.
Gender: Enables User to explore the gender diversity within organizations.
Ethnicity: Allows User to analyze the representation of different ethnic groups (available only in US).
Data can be filtered by “Job Function”, “Job Level”, “Industry” and “Headcount” enabling organizations to develop targeted strategies that foster inclusivity and ensure a diverse workforce at all levels (see below).
The filter options above drill down to specific data results reflected under “Aggregate Headcount Composition”. These data visualizations aid understanding of the diversity metrics by Percentage, and Total.
Users will also notice a further grouping of statistics by “Job Level”, “Headcount” and “Headcount by Gender” under “Distribution of Aggregate Gender Representation” below.
The insights gained from this data are used to set diversity and inclusion goals and track progress over time.
Furthermore, users can view “Talent Mobility by Gender” through the lenses of “Turnover”, “New Hire”, “Promotion”, and “Lateral Transfer”. By utilizing this data set, companies gain the ability to analyze their Diversity Representation across organizations and their market distribution objectively.
The "Market Distribution" bar graph shows the 50th percentile as a small red bar with the percentage listed above it. Please note that the red indicator is NOT related to the user's company but is representative of the entire RGCD data set.
When a user rolls their mouse over the bar graph, the 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles are displayed.
