The Talent Mobility offering provides a number of different metrics to users who want to know about the movement of talent within an organization. These metrics are based solely on data from the Radford Global Compensation Database (RGCD), and when used in conjunction with the available filters, allow users to benchmark their organization against companies of similar size or industry.
Talent Mobility data is pulled from submissions with consistent data from both the previous and current year. These full census submissions allow for comparison between these two years, providing insights around the following metrics:
- Promotion Rate: This compares current year to previous year, noting where employees moved from one job level to another. For example, a human resources professional that moved from a P1 to P2.
- Note that a person who was promoted to a new area (both a promotion and a transfer) will only be counted in the promotion rate.
- Turnover Rate: This compares current year to previous year, noting where an employee existed in the previous year, does not exist in the current year.
- Note that this does NOT track whether the turnover was voluntary or involuntary, simply that turnover occurred.
- New Hire Rate: This compares current year to previous year, noting where an employee existed in the current year, does not exist in the previous year.
- Lateral Transfer Rate: This compares current year to previous year, noting where an employee existed in the previous year, exists in the current year, but in a different job FUNCTION.
- Note that a person who was promoted to a new area (both a promotion and a transfer) will only be counted in the promotion rate.
