Q: I don’t know the new job codes. How do I find matches to my prior year surveys?
A: You can use the search feature on our Job Matrix tool to search by legacy jobs codes. Any matches will appear on screen for you to review. You may also want to download our YOY (year over year) mapping guide from our Resources page.
Q: Why can’t I find CEO or CFO in my Job Matrix search.
A: Currently our search engine matches job families by new code, legacy code and words that match our titles and descriptions. We realize “CEO” is not currently part of the Chief Executive Officer description, and we will be updating this and other C-level executive descriptions ASAP. Meanwhile, be very open with your searches. Try other potential matches, such as “Chief Exec”…
Also, remember you can sort and filter your search results, which can be helpful when you have a long list of results:
Finally, use your legacy codes, if you are not able to find roles with keyword searches:
Q: How has Peer Group Access Changed?
A: Our Peer Group reporting is now an on-demand feature for clients and no longer requires a transactional process. Clients can purchase one, two or unlimited peer groups as part of their annual subscription.
For clients who have purchased unlimited Peer Groups, initially only your Network Primary will be allocated access to create Peer Groups and run Peer Group reports. The Network Primary may contact his/her Survey Consultant to add Peer Group access for up to 4 additional users.
For clients who have purchased one or two Peer Groups, only your Network Primary will be allocated access to create Peer Groups and run Peer Group reports. We are planning to add an access role later in 2021 to allow users to be able to run Peer Group reports but not create Peer Groups.
Reminder - access to one Peer Group means one Peer Group for all purchased countries. For example, if you have created a Peer Group and run queries for just US and UK, you may add countries to your Peer Group and run additional queries. You may run as many queries as you like for your active Peer Group(s).
Please contact your sales account manager or survey consultant for more information.
Q: My company only purchased 1 Peer Group. If I’ve already used it in a Market Query, can I add countries to it?
A: Yes, you may add 1 peer group PER country.
Q: How does the new Private Market functionality work?
A: Client who are Private Market Only have access to all modules BUT only get results for the following Ownership Types:
- Private: Venture Backed
- Private: Private Equity – Growth
- Private: Private Equity – Buyout
Private Market Only clients also have a specific set of Data Elements, which non-Private Market Only clients may also use:
Q: When using Quick Benchmarks, how can I use/create different Data Element sets?
A: To use a specific data element set that is not available in your Quick Benchmarks drop-down, complete the following steps:
- Open the drop-down and select “Create New Set +”
- Select Create, Open or Duplicate to start. Example: to add “Shares Held” to Standard Data Elements (public companies)
- duplicate that set
- find the desired category and select your Data Elements
- click “Save & Open”
- duplicate that set
- The drop-down should default to your new Data Element set but confirm
This data element set is now available to use in any data generator tool (Quick Benchmarks, Market Queries and Country Totals).
Q: I selected Standard Private Market Data Elements. Why don’t I see the Data Display Tool in my download?
A: Updates are being made to the Data Display Tool for Private Market. Please, check back later this month.
Q: Why don’t I see the filter for Invested Capital?
This feature has been fixed as of 8/9/2021.
Q: Why can’t I see Job Matrix filters, My Catalog or the View Pay Data button?
A: Please, clear your cache either under your browser’s “More tools” or “Settings”
Q: Where is the Inner London filter?
A: Filters are in alphabetical order. Below is a screen shot showing where you will see Inner London.
Q: Are Peer Group filters for Incumbents or Companies?
A: Incumbent. FYI, you can also filter by company (or incumbent) when creating Market Query breakouts.
