After selecting the country and job family, you have the option to select filters. Available Market Filters are unique by country. Many countries have industry, region, and founder/non founder filters at the employee level. Company filters include revenue, headcount, invested capital, ownership type, and organization type.
This is the filter view when the US is selected
You do not need to select-all to include all data. Leaving all filters unchecked will include all data.
Example of a "US All" breakout in market queries, this breakout would include all US data excluding the client. No additional filters have been selected.
Some of the key filters for specific countries are:
- Exempt/Non-Exempt for Canada and the US
- Manufacturing/Non-Manufacturing for China
- Local/Non-Local for India and China
Use the filters as needed but remember that at a certain point selecting too many filters will result in a small sample of data.
Filters and Definitions
Employee Industry: Employee filters are for employee level demographics. For example, Company X’s industry classification is Hardware but has a small software business. So they may have employees aligned to Software Products. If you select “Software Products” Employee industry filter, you will receive data including all Software Products employees, regardless of their companies’ industry classifications.
Founder/Non Founder: Groups employees by Founder or Non Founder of the company
Region/City: Not available in all areas, allows data to be filtered by city or region.
Tenure: apply this filter to understand pay trends amongst the recent hires. Tenure is calculated effective as of the most recent publication. For example, if the most recent publication is October 2021, then the "<18 months" filter would select all incumbents who have a hire date within 18 months of October 2021.
Sales Channel: this filter is applicable to certain sales jobs only, subject to participants reporting individual incumbents mapped to specific sales channels.
Life Science Products: this filter is applicable to both clinical jobs in life sciences companies as well as sales jobs in life sciences companies, subject to participants reporting individual incumbents associated with specific products.
Executive Organization Level: User can now filter data by Corporate, Multi-Profit or Group, Plant, and/or Single-Profit or Division.
Executive Geographic Responsibility: Filter executive data by geographic region of responsibility including Global, Local, Asia Pacific, EMEA, Latin America, North America, and Other Region.
Executive Revenue Scope: this incumbent level filter is applicable to business unit or division executives whom are mapped to business unit/division revenues within the specified ranges.
Company Industry: Company filters are for company level demographics. For example: If you select the “Software Products” Company Industry filter, you will receive data including all employees whose company’s industry classification is Software Products.
Headcount Range: This filter groups employees by range listed. You can select one or multiple filters.
Revenue Range: Similar to the Headcount filter, you can select multiple ranges to filter data by company revenue.
Ownership Type: A key filter for Private Market clients. Clients on the Private Market Offering will only see Private Venture-Backed, Private Equity Growth, and Private Equity Buyout companies.
Organization Type: Select the Company / Business Unit level from the dropdown list provided. The Corporate is the entire company, Multi-Profit or Group - a geographic region or global business line, Single-Profit or Division - a single country or single business line, and Plant - a manufacturing cost center.
Invested Capital: Banded levels of invested capital
Primary Sales Channel: this filter reflects the primary sales channel of a participating organization in the Radford Global Compensation Database.
Stage of Development: this company level filter is applicable to private or pre-IPO participants mapped to various stages of product development, for both technology and life sciences industries
